After advertising on Gavelhouse within three weeks of listing we have been successful in selling the Lonhro / Church On Sunday colt to Michael Gangemi (a trainer for Ascot Bloodstock). We received enquiries from Victoria, Queensland and WA and each enquirer had located the colt via the Gavelhouse website. There is no doubt we have been able to secure a purchaser for the colt as a direct result of listing the horse on Gavelhouse which was easy to complete to construct you own advert message and download photos etc of the horse.

After missing the broodmare sales due to an injury, we posted "Bella Rosso" for sale on the Gavelhouse site. I checked the site frequently, and the hits increased - obviously there was considerable interest. I had about three serious inquiries, including requests for more photos, and one, from Adelaide, seemed a likely buyer. Just when he pulled out, a buyer from northern Victoria phoned, offered cash, and had her picked up within two days. I was delighted to find "Bella Rosso" a good home as I wasn't in a position to breed from her just yet, and Gavelhouse offered a convenient and economical method way to sell, her especially as she was in her paddock clothes.
