Burning Amber | Bay Mare (2000)

Strong European family in foal to AL MAHER

By a sire whose daughters have already produced 48 SW's worldwide incl G1 winners SHALANAYA, TANTA HONRA, ROYAL HIGHNESS, MARKAB, etc. The highly promising Sydney galloper SINGLE could be added to this G1 winners list very shortly.

Her first two dams are respectively a Group 2 winner (GB) and a Group 1 winner (USA).

First foal to race is a winner. Coming through she has a 2008 filly SYDNEY GIRL (by ELUSIVE QUALITY) with Moira Murdoch (NZ), a 2009 LONHRO filly named GRAND PALACE in training with Lindsay Smith in Perth, and a 2010 LONHRO colt. Her foals are by good sires and with good trainers. This can only be a positive.

Another potential upgrade to this family could come via her half sisters progeny. BURNING AMBER has two siblings by Japanese super star sire SUNDAY SILENCE now at stud, plus a third sibling by Champion European sire RAINBOW QUEST. The two SUNDAY SILENCE mares both have 2010 foals by REDOUTE'S CHOICE, so watch this space!

AL MAHER's yearlings have sold to $300,000, with many sales in excess of $100,000. To date in 2012 his yearlings have averaged approximately $40,000. AL MAHER stood the 2011 season at a fee of $22,000+GST. This mare is being sold for less than the fee she's carrying.
