Spartacus | Bay Entire (2000)
New Zealand's leading first & second season sire, with his best bred and biggest crops now two year olds
A son of Danehill, Spartacus was a dual Group One winning juvenile, taking out the Curragh Phoenix Stakes and the Milan Gran Criterium.
His oldest New Zealand bred progeny are now six year olds, with this first crop earning Spartacus the leading first and second season sire’s title in New Zealand.
Spartacus has shown an ability to leave not only smart two year olds like himself, but also very good middle distance type colts and filly’s that have shown they improve with maturity.
The progeny of Spartacus have been well received each year at New Zealand’s national yearling sale at Karaka, being well sort after by New Zealand trainers. With his biggest and best bred crop now three year olds there will be plenty more good winners ahead for the sire.
