Another Group Performance For WAIKATO

By Highview Stud July 30 2012

Evergreen Highview Stud product Waikato has produced another notable racing performance at the highest level in Singapore.

Waikato finished a brave third in a Gr. 2 S$300,000 Chairman's Trophy in Singapore on Sunday and he has won approximately S$3 million in Singapore.

Bred, raised and sold by Brent and Louise Gillovic's Highview Stud, Waikato was purchased by Laurie Laxon at New Zealand Bloodstock's 2005 Karaka Premier Sale for $50,000.

The eight-year-old has gone on to become one of the best performed gallopers to grace the Kranji racing scene in recent seasons.

Waikato's most notable wins in Singapore have included last year's Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2000m).
