An imposing horse standing over a lot of ground, CHATEAU ISTANA raced with great success in England and in Hong Kong and was being readied for a Group 1 assignment in Australia before injury struck and forced his premature retirement.

CHATEAU ISTANA opened his winning account in a maiden event at Leicester in May 2004 and the following month stepped into the big league to win the 40,000 pound Royal Ascot Windsor Castle Stakes (5f) at Listed level.

CHATEAU ISTANA then captured the Group 2 Doncaster Flying Childers Stakes three months later.
The following year CHATEAU ISTANA was transferred to South-East Asia and opened his racing account in Hong Kong in November 2005. As expected his won and repeated the dose there four months later in March 2006.

CHATEAU ISTANA showed explosive speed in each outing and his racing prowess is matched by his Hollywood looks and eye catching bloodlines.

Now at stud, CHATEAU ISTANA has delivered the goods - from only 18 starters he had four individual winners for five race wins.
