Flying Pegasus

The first 2 year old race of any season generates a great deal of interest and for sires with their first crop progeny hitting the race track it takes on even greater significance.

There was no greater interest in any other sire than FLYING PEGASUS and when ABSOLUTE CRACKER led from start to finish in Touchstone colours it hopefully heralded the start of a stellar stud career for the impeccably bred high class son of FUSAICHI PEGASUS.

FLYING PEGASUS was a Group winner in his 2 & 3 year old seasons and always competed at the elite level. As a 2 year old FLYING PEGASUS won the Group 3 Kindergarten Stakes defeating the Group 1 winning filly MNEMOSYNE.

At 3 years he produced his career best performance to win the Group 2 Royal Sovereign Stakes toying with his rivals and beating some of the finest horses of his generation including multiple Group 1 winner Racing to Win.

FLYING PEGASUS is by the super sire FUSAICHI PEGASUS (MR PROSPECTOR) out of the Group 2 winning DANEHILL mare CASHIER.

After an exceptional performance in the sale ring in 2010 he followed up with a strong book of mares serving over 100 for the fourth consecutive year.

Once again in 2011 with a strong representation at the Perth MM sale he averaged in excess of $30000 with a top price of $80000 for a quality colt from the Gervase Park draft.

Producing quality performers such as ABSOLUTE CRACKER and KING SAUL both Saturday winners on debut and with the Magic Millions 2yo classic winner and stakes placed WESTERN FEVER leading the way, FLYING PEGASUS is firmly establishing himself as a star of the future.
